EDITORS’ NOTES: Risin’ up, back on the street.

“… tell me, everybody’s pickin’ up on that feline beat, ‘cause everything else is obsolete…” sang Thomas O’Malley. Turns out Phil Harris’ voice navigated me quite blissfully through childhood. Nine lifetimes later now, I’m sitting here in the cockpit remembering who I am. Just a man and his will to survive. Growing, maybe it isn’t always meant to feel fifty shades of great, but neither does it have to be grey or blue or by textbook. “If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast to the back of a cat and drop it?” (Steven Wright, legend).

Here’s an irrelevant fact for you: When I read my first book, “The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house all that cold, cold wet day”. That’s when I discovered a portal to a new world, a wonderland. Soon later, I was given a copy of a story by Lewis Carroll. I’m sure you know which one it is.
